The traditional way to get tickets to Broadway shows is to stand in line at TDF’s TKTS Booth . While I’ve done that on a few occasions, I’ve also scored tickets to great shows using two other methods that didn’t involve lines.
1. Use the TodayTix app , which allows you to find tickets on your phone up to a month in advance. You will be charged a ticketing fee, however.
2. Play the lottery. Several shows have digital lotteries that you can access through apps like TodayTix and Lucky Seat. Hamilton has its own app, where you can enter for tickets every Friday.
