The Subaru Crosstrek is as prevalent in the Midwestern U.S. as cheese curds and “you betchas.” Like flannel, it’s dependable, outdoorsy and stands without challengers. Until now.
The Seltos is Kia’s attempt at a bonafide AOC (affordable outdoorsy crossover) and I love everything about it. It’s comfy, stylish and even the base $22k model comes standard with AWD and a roof rack. Like other “take me camping” crossovers, I expected it to be dull and clumsy to drive around the city, but it’s astoundingly fun.
There’s not much critical to say about the Seltos. I hope it sells well.
