I once heard someone call Mazda the secret love child of Toyota and BMW, and I totally agree. They’re sporty and fun to toss around, yet as dependable and long-lasting as a New York brownstone.
Mazdas have historically been underpowered for their segment, but now that they’ve thrown 320 ft-lbs of torque in the new Mazda3 Turbo, I’m fresh out of constructive criticism. It’s now faster, comfier, and better-equipped than its rivals at Mercedes and BMW.
It’s cheaper, too; Mazda’s premium-lite pocket rocket starts at just $30k. Now, Mazda, kindly put this motor in a Miata and take my money!
