1. Use multiple search engines. Lots of people swear by Scott’s Cheap Flights, a website that sends daily airfare deals to its subscribers. Founder Scott Keyes suggests using Google Flights, Priceline and Momondo to search for the best prices.
2. Try to book during the “Goldilocks Window” when airfares may be lower. For domestic travel, the window is one and three months, for international it’s between two and eight months prior to travel.
3. Don’t forget Southwest Airlines. You can find great fares on this carrier, but you won’t find them on search engines. Go directly to Southwest.com for fares and booking.
