United Airlines took the top spot for rewarding frequent flyers, according to the annual Best Airlines report from The Points Guy. The blog and travel website looks at the number of partner airlines, credit card options and whether miles expire to determine its rankings. Delta came in second place, closely followed by American.
When it came to award availability and being able to use those points, Southwest came in first. You can use its Rapid Reward points on every flight. Delta and American tied for second. The value of a frequent flyer point on these airlines is around 1.5 cents.
