Chicago still brings All That Jazz after 25 Years

Well, technically it’s been 47 years since the show’s first Broadway appearance. And 96 years since reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins wrote the play based on real life “celebrity criminals” she saw in the courtroom (yep – Roxie is based on a real person). 

But I digress. 25 years into the Tony award-winning revival, “Chicago” still kills it. Star Logan Floyd plays a convincingly gruff Velma Kelly, while Katie Frieden nails Roxie as a self-absorbed social media influencer pulled out of time. Really, the whole cast and crew just brings everything this show demands.
