Let’s Go Surfin’ Now, Everybody’s Learning How. Even Your Dog.

Why just run on the beach with your dog on vacation when you can take to the waves? At Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado, California, owners can sign dogs up for surfing lessons, no experience required.

Lessons are available through Coronado Surfing Academy. Teevan McManus owns the school and his dog loved to surf with him, which led to him teaching other dogs. “We invite the owners to participate with us in the water during the lesson. It’s their experience too and the dogs respond much better to their owners’ commands. The dogs just love being in the water,” he said.
