We’ve said goodbye to so many things because of the pandemic. The list includes wearing makeup or hard pants, printed menus and daily commutes.

On the travel front, we may have seen the end of daily housekeeping in hotels. While some luxury brands have kept the same daily schedule, at several independent hotels and chains, including Marriott, Hilton and Sheraton, daily cleaning is only available upon request.

While some people can live without the cleaning, and don’t miss when the housekeeping staff shows up at inconvenient times, others don’t like the trash piling up and enjoy having their bed made.
