Florida’s Most Relaxing Beach, With Plenty To Do

by Jan Schroder

We zipped along on our green scooters, passing the impossibly white sand dunes of the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Santa Rosa Sound on the other, enjoying the unspoiled beauty of Gulf Islands National Seashore in Navarre Beach.

Navarre Beach bills itself as Florida’s most relaxing beach. While you can chill on its gorgeous sand and watch the gentle waves, we also wanted to explore; our scooter trip was a highlight.

Another highlight was a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that had the best fried catfish. Because of our schedule we had that catfish for breakfast. Twice.
