If coffin racing, brain freeze contests, parade of hearses, live vultures, frozen T-shirt contests and ice turkey bowling sound like a fun time, have I got a festival for you! Head to Nederland, Colorado, for the annual Frozen Dead Guy Days March 13-15.
The festival, in its 19th year, honors poor Grandpa Bredo, who has been packed in ice above Nederland since he died in 1989 (long story). Events take place outdoors and in heated tents where 30 live bands perform.
If the frigid temperatures aren’t cold enough for you, sign up for the Costumed Polar Bear Plunge.
