Best Day of Our Montana Trip: Exploring Glacier National Park

by Jan Schroder

Seven people in a van for nine hours isn’t usually part of a Best Day of Our Vacation story. But it was when we trekked to Glacier National Park where we ventured up Going-to-the-Sun Road, toured Many Glacier Hotel, picnicked by a deep blue lake and hiked through spectacularly beautiful mountain trails.

That 18-hour day, which ended with mermaids at Sip ‘n Dip Lounge in Great Falls, fueled our desire to visit more parks.

We hope you enjoy tips on when to visit national parks, fun park-themed products and some of our favorite state parks.
