Skip the kiosk with new Global Entry app

We’re all for reducing the hassle of travel, so we love the new Global Entry app. (Although It’s ironic that a program that expedites the customs process has been taking months to renew membership.)

Rather than heading to a kiosk, you complete the customs process by using a new app introduced by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), available for Apple and Android users.

When you land, you take a selfie with the app. That photo is submitted to CBP and you get a digital receipt to show to CBP officers. The program is available at these airports.

• Seattle Tacoma International Airport
• Los Angeles International Airport
• Miami International Airport
• Orlando International Airport
• Washington Dulles International Airport
• Pittsburgh International Airport
• George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
