Graduate Berkeley: Not Your Ordinary College Town Hotel

lobby of Graduate Berkeley

A yellow glow saturates the lobby. Behind the front desk, floor-to-ceiling bookcases are filled with National Geographic magazines.

Graduate Berkeley is one block off UC Berkeley. Part college campus retro, part “free-speech Berkeley,” and a little ’60s mod, the curated collection of art, furniture and memorabilia is fascinating. Retro décor in bedrooms and public spaces is “luxury Bohemian.”

Open for BL&D, the restaurant/bar is a lively nightspot. Near the sports stadium, museums, shops and eateries, Graduate Berkeley is enjoyably buzzy. Graduate Hotels are in university towns around the country. Each hotel celebrates the spirit and history of the local school.
