It’s thrilling to plan international trips again. But wow – airfares have gone up. You can save money by using historical data to determine the best time to buy flights.
CheapAir.com examined almost a billion airfares from every region in the world in 2021 and shared its insights in its Annual Airfare Study. The best time to purchase international flights depends on where you are going, but averages around 205 days out.
If you’re flying to South America, look at fares 79 days in advance, but if you’re heading to Asia, you may do better much further out, around 314 days.
