“We are back, baby, bigger and better than ever!” Those were the words of Nick Wayland, founder of TravMedia, a global media network, at the International Media Marketplace held recently in New York City.
I had attended IMM for several years, but the last time was in January 2020. It was thrilling to gather again with close to 1,000 other travel writers and destination marketing people to have one-on-one meetings, mingle at a reception and rejoice that our industry is on the rebound.
Several destinations have reported their visitation levels have surpassed those of 2019. Here’s hoping for even more recovery in 2023.
