Superpods of Dolphins, Laid-Back Luxury Stay in Mexico

by Jan Schroder

Thousands of frenzied dolphins encircled our boat as we scrambled furiously to capture them on our cameras while squealing in delight.

None of us had ever seen or even heard of dolphin superpods prior to our boat tour on the Sea of Cortez in Loreto, Mexico. We were staying at the luxury Villa del Palmar Loreto, the only property on the gorgeous Danzante Bay in Baja, California.

A quiet, laid back resort near the small seaside town of Loreto, it’s been compared to Cabo 20 years ago. For partying, go to Cabo. For relaxation, try Villa del Palmar.
