How I Bargained in Markets in Cusco, Peru

by Wpengine
market vendor in Cusco, Peru

I love a good bargain, but I’m not a very good negotiator and sometimes shy away from markets. But I couldn’t pass up these booths during a trip to Cusco, Peru.

The market was filled with rows of similar booths, with diminutive Peruvian woman overshadowed by stacks of colorful goods.

The prices were crazy low so when I asked this woman how much this purse was and she said $20, I knew I already had a good deal. I didn’t even attempt to bargain. That bag was worth that to me, along with her agreeing to pose for a photo.
