On the Road Again. Safely.

How I missed this, I thought as I laid my head down on the pristine sheets, happy to be in a bed I wouldn’t have to make.

It was my first stay at a hotel in seven months. I miss the excitement of travel, the anticipation of seeing my room and the novelty of a new place to explore.

With improved cleaning protocols and given that infectious disease doctors have said the risk of transmission of the virus from objects is close to nonexistent, hotels feel safe. We’re hoping our stay was the beginning of slowly getting back to traveling.
