Breakfast, Bubbles, Beachcombing and Balconies

room at Pelican Inn and Suites

When you’re staying at Pelican Inn and Suites in Cambria on California’s Central Coast, you can start your day with Mimosas.
After a lazy, full breakfast, (including bottomless Mimosas), I crossed Highway 1 and walked for several miles along Moonstone Beach. I was sure I’d find a milky stone, but I didn’t.
I passed the day on the beach, then in the hot tub and pool at Pelican Inn. Dinner at the Sea Chest, five doors down, was a lively gathering of locals and visitors waiting in line for seafood. From my balcony, I sipped the sundown with a local pinot noir.
