Setting sail out of new cruise terminal that’s 1st ever to do this

Royal Caribbean's cruise terminal in Galveston with Allure of the SEas

My daughter, Catherine, and I smiled as we took the cowboy hats being handed out to the excited cruise passengers. Royal Caribbean was celebrating its new zero energy cruise terminal in Galveston that is its fourth LEED certified facility, and the first on track to be LEED Gold certified. The $125 million terminal is over 161,000 square feet and is 100% solar powered.

We set sail on Allure of the Seas, marking the first time an Oasis class ship, the largest in the world, has sailed from Galveston. The ship is sailing 4-, 5- and 7-night cruises in the Caribbean.
