Sleep better, drown out noise with portable sound machine

There’s one thing you can’t learn from photos of accommodations when you book them – what the noise levels will be. I stayed in a hotel in NYC where we were supplied earplugs to drown out the noise of the rooftop bar, which were only partially effective.

I travel with this portable noise machine, the LectroFan Micro2, which is just over 2″ tall and features a Bluetooth enabled speaker. I have my choice of 11 sounds: five fans, four white noise and two ocean surf, my favorites.

It comes with a cable to recharge it and a charge lasts 20-30 hours.
