We Traveled Through This String of Pearls in Virginia

“They are like a string of pearls,” my husband Chris said, referring to the series of small towns in Virginia we stayed in during our two-week road trip.

We visited two presidents’ homes, biked a scenic bike trail, ate the tastiest fish tacos, stayed in historic inns and luxury resorts, visited a potato chip factory, enjoyed gourmet breakfasts at a bed and breakfast and met our country’s “secret president.”

Then there was the stroll through soaring caverns and the tastings at the wineries. Someone asked me if they make good wine in Virginia. Oh yeah, we can testify to that.

Please see more about our Virginia road trip.
