“Don’t go to the Temple Bar Pub,” warned my seatmate on my flight to Dublin. “It’s a tourist trap.”“Don’t miss the Temple Bar Pub,” said the friendly hotel desk clerk as I checked in.
I’m glad I listened to the latter. This lively pub, the most historic in the Temple Bar neighborhood, is definitely worth a visit, even if you just walk through quickly as I did. The live Irish music (a different band each day) put a smile on my face, and the Irish beers and 450+ varieties of whiskey looked so inviting. Next time, I’ll stay longer!
