Nonrefundable. Change fees. Such dreaded words. If there is one positive to come out of our current situation it’s that travelers will temporarily have one thing we want but had trouble finding – flexibility.
Airlines are waiving those annoying change fees and some hotel chains are adjusting their cancellation policies. Cruise lines are offering more flexibility to their passengers, often in the form of vouchers. Guests who book a cruise on Emerald Waterways can transfer their booking to an alternate cruise without penalty.
The tourism industry hopes these measures will help us get back on the road. And in the air.
