In our last issue, we shared tips on when to purchase international flights. Here are more tips from CheapAir’s Annual Airfare Study on when to purchase domestic flights.

After analyzing nearly 1 billion flights in 2021, CheapAir concluded the prime booking window to buy flights if a low fare is your main priority is 21 to 127 days prior to departure, roughly three weeks to four months. The best day is 76 days in advance.

If you’re more concerned with available options like seat selection, class of ticket and specific flight times, try booking 203 to 315 days in advance.
