‘Tootsie’ the Musical Stands Test of Time

Who can forget Dustin Hoffman dressed as a woman in the 1982 movie of “Tootsie.” The touring Broadway musical is just as much fun four decades later.

I saw the show and laughed throughout, mostly at the best friend, Jeff Slater, played by the hilarious Jared David Michael Grant, who is constantly incredulous at the increasingly complicated deceptions of his friend. He sings one of the  funniest songs called “Jeff Sums It Up.”

Tootsie” is in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre through Jan. 30.   From Atlanta the show next moves to Des Moines, Memphis, San Antonio, Tulsa, Tucson and other locations
