Travel Tip: You can now add your passport to Apple Wallet

Apple just launched Digital ID that allows you to add your passport to Apple Wallet to use as an ID at the airport. It’s especially useful if you don’t have a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license.

The ID is only for use for domestic flights. You still need your physical passport to travel internationally. But it makes it easier to look up your passport information and if you lose your passport while traveling, having a copy makes it much easier to replace.

To add your passport press + in Wallet, select Driver’s license or ID cards and follow the onscreen instructions.
