1. What interstate in the United States has the most lanes?
2. What interstate is the longest in the United States?
3. What and where is the highest posted speed limit in the country?
4. How many rest areas can you find along the interstates in the United States?
5. How many miles of interstate are there in the United States?

Answers to Travel Trivia
1. The Katy Freeway, a section of I-10 in Houston, has 26 lanes. It has 12 main lanes, with six in each direction, eight feeder lanes and six managed lines, which carry high-occupancy vehicles and mass transit.
2. Interstate 90, which goes from Boston to Seattle, is the longest interstate in the country. It’s about 3,085 miles long.
3. Once again Texas takes the prize, with a speed limit of 85 mph on Texas Highway 130, a toll road outside of Austin. So this may not qualify as an interstate, so you would also be right if you mentioned Nevada, Montana or South Dakota, states that all have some portions of interstate with a speed limit of 80 mph.
4. There are around 1,481 rest areas along interstate in the United States. Or it could be 1,840 – we couldn’t find a definitive answer. But what’s important to us is finding one when we need one.
5. There are approximately 48,482 miles of interstate in the United States.
