Two-steppin’ and honky-tonking with the locals

dancers at Roberts in Nashville

If you want to honky-tonk with locals in Nashville, head to Robert’s Western World for classic country music, Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and fried bologna sandwiches. The place was packed on a rainy February night, and couples twirled and twisted while vying for space on the crowded dance floor.

If you’re in town during the week, you can two-step with locals at the American Legion Post 82 in East Nashville on Honky Tonk Tuesday. The drinks are cheap and the dance floor is massive, filled with couples dancing to a live band in front of a huge neon American flag.
