While the vaccine is slowly rolling out around the world, there’s discussion of whether people will be required to prove they’ve gotten vaccinated prior to traveling internationally. Australia’s Qantas Airlines is already moving towards requiring the vaccine for passengers.
That requirement is not without precedent as some countries require a yellow fever certificate to enter. But there are many obstacles and objections to creating such a system.
The World Travel and Tourism Council says no dice and calls them discriminatory, claiming it will prevent a lot of healthy people from flying. The organization prefers to have travelers test before travel.
