With several parks, three greenways and places for refreshments, the Detroit Riverfront is a must-see for a visit to the Motor City.
The Riverfront runs around four miles along the Detroit River, which forms the border between the city and Windsor, Canada. Founded in 2003, the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy has spent $200 million transforming the area. The new 22-acre Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park has a Sport House, water garden, play garden and tree-lined paths.
We recommend exploring the Detroit Riverfront on a bicycle tour with Wheelhouse Detroit, a great way to learn more about it and the city.
