One of the best things about small-ship cruising is you can stop at small docks and hop off the ship. Our Great Lakes cruise with Pearl Sea Cruises sailed from Milwaukee and included stops at Muskegon and Mackinac Island (in Michigan) and Sault Ste. Marie, Little Current, Parry Sound and Midland in Ontario.

Our excursions included a dune buggy ride, scenic seaplane flight, and walking food tour. We also enjoyed kayaking with an indigenous guide, horse carriage rides, and boat cruises around Georgian Bay and through the Sault Ste. Marie locks.
