Meal? Hotel? Here’s how to find out what you’re entitled to if your flight is delayed

Ugh – that dreaded “flight delayed” or “flight cancelled” notice. We do have rights when an airline delays a flight for more than three hours for reasons within their control. (That doesn’t include weather delays.)

To find out what your airline offers, go to Airline Customer Service Dashboard, then select your carrier. For example, Delta offers to rebook a passenger on the same airline or a partner airline for no additional cost, a meal voucher if you wait more than three hours for the next flight, hotel room is there’s an overnight cancellation and complimentary transportation to and from that hotel.
