Whether you’re thinking about following the bourbon trail, taking in a horse race or exploring the mountains and caves of the Bluegrass State, make your stay more unique by considering one of these amazing tree house rentals in Kentucky.
Part of the fun is that no two treehouses are alike. Some are perched high in trees, with one being reached by 120 steps, while others are easily accessible. Some have bathrooms and kitchens, while others are a bit more, well, rustic. As one owner wrote, “This isn’t a fancy resort, rather a unique experience.”
Treehouse rentals tend to be quirkier than other vacation rentals, with unique reading nooks, trees growing in the living room, or slides for making a fun exit.
While you may know Kentucky as the home to bourbon, the Kentucky Derby and that famous fictional colonel who makes fried chicken, Kentucky also has the world’s longest cave system, the Daniel Boone National Forest that includes the Red River National Gorge. This system of canyons has waterfalls, natural bridges and sandstone cliffs that attract rock climbers from around the world.
Most of these tree house rentals in Kentucky are located near the Red River Gorge National Forest, and several of them are located inside the national forest.
Please note that rates are subject to change and they often do. The rates given were accurate at time of publication.
Treehouse rentals are not like other rentals. You’ll want to read the description and list of amenities to understand what you’re getting with these treehouses. Some are appropriate for children and pets while others are not. For more tips see our related story: 5 Tips for an Amazing Treehouse Rentals
