Selfie in Space and Other Reasons Americans Want to Travel to Space

Civilian space tourism is coming. Passport Photo Online conducted a study to see how we feel about breaking the bounds of Earth.

More six out of 10 Americans want to travel to space. But only four percent would spend the $100,000 it takes to do so now. However, more than half of Americans believe space travel will be more affordable in the next 25 years.

The top reason people want to travel to space, at 76 percent, is the see the Earth from space. Nine percent want to take a selfie while four percent want a chance to see aliens.
