It’s Easy to Social Distance in this Giant National Park

We drove for miles without seeing a single person. With more than 800,000 acres, Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas includes three huge canyons, the Chisnos Mountains and 2,000 archeological sites. It covers around 120 miles of the Rio Grande River where it borders with Mexico.

We hiked, rafted on the river and explored the Ghost Town of Terlingua.  One night we sat in natural hot springs adjacent to the river and watched as the sun set and billions of stars came out, proof that Big Bend is one  of the best Dark Sky Parks in the U.S.
