When landscape architect graduate Taylor Jacobsen had cardiovascular issues related to stress he created a heart-shaped walking trail in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Starting at the Mississippi River, the 3.1-mile  Baton Rouge Heart Trail is marked by heart decals on the sidewalk and other signs, such a large heart mural. The trail passes by nine parks and 110 businesses, fun for locals and a great way for visitors to experience the downtown area.

Taylor started his own design company, Urban Canvas Studio. “If everyone grabs a little corner of downtown and beautifies it we will be beautiful city,” he said.
