Lost in Lisbon

Author Penelope Riley said, “It is not the destination where you end up but the mishaps and memories you create along the way.”

We are on day 12 of our six-week trip in Portugal and have had a few mishaps – lost glasses, food poisoning, minor injuries and getting lost in Lisbon trying to find a restaurant in the Alfama district. Then six Ubers cancelled when we tried to return to our hotel. Seems the street was closed due to a road race on a Saturday night.

But the memories we’ve made far outweigh the mishaps, our goal for every trip.
