Even when buying a luxury car, there are tons of optional extras I’d personally skip.
I don’t need elaborate wood trim from the Tree of Life for a couple grand. I don’t need cooled seats since tinted windows will keep the whole interior cool. And I certainly don’t need lane-keep assist (and neither should any attentive driver).
But I’d never skip on variable suspension technology. Being able to instantly switch between a firm ride and a soft one effectively gives you two cars in one. Cadillac’s “Active Sport Suspension” is a must-have, giving it an advantage over other sub-$40k crossovers.
