Carry-on only? You may want to check a bag to do this

I’ve transitioned to a carry-on only traveler, especially since I found my favorite suitcase.  Frequent traveler Vero Nica adheres to the same lifestyle, but found another use for the free bag allowance you get with some international flights. She fills up a bag with donations for the host country. 

She recently went to Morocco and took a 50-pound bag of women’s hygiene products, small toys, food items and first-aid kits, leaving it at the Amal Center in Marrakesh where she took a cooking class. Vera either leaves the suitcase or folds it up to pack souvenirs for the return trip.
