Though few and far between, Oklahoma has mountain ranges that visitors can enjoy — especially in the fall when temperatures have cooled down from the blazing summer heat.
Located within miles of Fairview, this park is known for its high selenite content that mimics a shiny glass exterior (making it look like there are shards of glass scattered everywhere upon the mountaintop). Thus, guests refer to this gem as Gloss Mountain State Park.
There are no campsites within the park, however Gloss Mountain Outfitters has tent sites and RV parking. The Newton Ranch nearby also offers activities like hayrides, hiking and fishing.
