Although I’ve been to San Francisco on several occasions, this is my first visit to Alamo Square. I’ve heard it’s a popular green space and now I know why.
From this high perch the city view is magnificent. It creates a stunning backdrop to the well-known row of Victorian houses called the Painted Ladies. The park is a great place to sit, relax and soak up the view along with a few rays of warm sunshine. If you’re a people watcher, you’re in luck. A blanket and a picnic lunch would make a great addition to this impressive space.
