2020 Buick Enclave Avenir: GM’s Affordable Escalade

by Chris Butsch

So, you want an opulent, three-row, American-made SUV. The answer is and has always been the Cadillac Escalade.

But what if you don’t have $75,000 to spend (or nearly $100,000 with options)? GM has you covered. The Buick Enclave, even in its fully kitted Avenir trim, will leave the dealer for under $55,000. While it may not offer Rolex-levels of bling in the headlights, the Enclave still provides 80% of an Escalade in terms of looks, tech and cargo space.

While neither the Escalade nor the Buick offers the sportiness of most competitors, for luxurious family haulers they’re good value.
